KOREAN CULTURE DAY 2010 - KCD

OK in this post I will report all thngs that happen in Korean Studies major in University of Indonesia who held this big event KOREAN CULTURE DAY 2010.

First of all, I was in Danus a.k.a Dana dan Usaha which deal with all the money thingies and sponsorship for the event. My seonbae was so great in arranging it, I was just helping in selling snack to raise money for the event, but she did all the agreement with a lot of Korean big bussiness company and media partnership. Whoa...I hope someday I could handle a hard work like that too in an event.

On the D-day, all of the committees had to arrive so early at 5.00 a.m. I knw that was a bit sucks, but that also a good thing for us that we should prepare everything. Eventhough the previous night, we, Class of 2010, were still rehearsing our Comedy Parody until 10 p.m in Balairung. WHOA...it was so tiring but we had fun. So to speak we just slept for 4 hours that very night. Cause we have to wake up at 3 and then prepare ourself to come to Balairung again.
I was in my friend's flat with other friends.

On the way to Balairung we walked down the cold dawn from KuKel through UI. Whoa...really cold, but we were singing along the way and making fun of each other that we were laughing in the middle of UI's scary darkness.
As we arrived in Balairung, we automatically stunted with the cool decoration that the decoration committees had set up all the night. It sooooo KOREAN ...hahahaha, with MuGungHwa, national frlower of South Korea, and the shape of Korean peninsula consist of mozaic of colors, neomu yeppeoyo.

Ah...me and my team were in the Hanbok Photos stand. We got a chance to try Hanbok also. Hanbok is Korean traditional dress which has a very long and loose skirt down to the floor with colorful color and great embroidery. So many visitors came to our stand, which made us so busy through the half of the day. But some of us, including me, the Class of 2010, replaced by seonbaes when the lunch time came. Because we had to do our make up and change our costume to be ready for our Minamishineyo Parody: S[h]e's Beautiful ?

When we perform on the stage, so many people laughed because we were soooo crazily acting out our characters and our make up were so silly that people will laugh just by seeing us.




There were not only us as the artist.
Seonbae of 2007,2008 and 2009 also had their own Class performances.
It was a great event to show our talent.


Beside the shows inside the Balairung, the were also Bazaar outside the building. A lot of stands were there. They sold Korean food, Korean Accessories, and of course there even one specific stand that only sells ALL ABOUT K-POP. ALL ABOUT SUPER JUNIOR and elses. For K-POP lovers, that was a heaven. 3500 visitors came to our event. Even when the on the spot tickets was sold out, a lot of people mad at us from Facebook and Twitter because they didn't get the chance to see the even. I, on behalf of all the committees say that we are very sorry. Let's hope next year there will be a bigger number of tickets that will be sold.

From morning thru evening the entire event was AWESOME. I hope next year there will be KOREAN CULTURE DAY 2011 that will be more cool, more visitors, and would be the greatest Korean event in Indonesia.
