Life in Korea. Day 7: We watched Dae Jang Geum Musical! ^^

Today we didn't have any classes at the campus. Today we went out and did so many interesting things outside. Aaah~ even though I am so tired right now but it was a lot of fun!

First thing we did was making Korean Art Painting. We went together by bus to the Artdam Gallery. It is located not that far from the Academy of Korean Studies. It took us for about 15 minutes by bus from our campus.
When we arrived there, first of all we hear the greeting and explanation of what we will have to do next and what will we paint by the art teacher Mr. Kwon In-su. And then we go directly to our place and start painting exercise. Yeeha!

And I start to paint my buchae or hand fan. Ah~ It was s fun! I love everything related to art hee~

After we finished painting the hand fan. We took a picture together in front of the Gallery. But unfortunately it was only in one of the teacher's camera. So I can not upload it right now. Hehe. Okay, so the next thing to do was Learning Mask Dance. We moved to Seoul by our bus. It took us for about 30 minutes to go there. The place where we learn Mask Dance was Korea Cultural House. We went inside the auditorium and practice the dance directly on the stage. Whoa! really fun! the teacher was also so funny that I  laughed all the time when he was teaching us. haha!

After we learn Mask Dance we moved to Baekam Art Hall which is located in Samsung Area in Seoul. It was not very far from Korea Cultural House, so we walked there. We even went through subway station, because it was faster and we can avoid the sunlight. Haha! In Baekam Art Hall, we watch Dae Jang Geum Non-verbal Musical. Dae Janggeum  is  originally a drama from MBC station. This drama is a very well-known worldwide not only in Asian countries but also in Europe. This drama is about a girl named Jang-geum who works at the Palace Kitchen as a cook. But she was not an usual cook. She was gifted by the excellent talent of food making. So she was so loved by the Royal Family. But oneday she was framed by her friend and was sent to Jeju Island. In there she could not do what she like, the food making, but she helps people at a doctor's place. While  helping a lot of patients there she also learned medicine. Soon she was able to become a physician. And she came back to palace with that title. She was the first physician ever in Korean history.  Because she knows what food is good for healths and what is not by her excellent cooking skill and she was also a great physician she was awarded the title "Dae" meaning "The Great" so her name changed to Dae Jang Geum. Oh~ this drama is so great! If you have not watched it yet, go watch it! :D And today I watch the musical, wow~ fantastic! Unfortunately cameras are not allowed inside the performance hall. But one of my friend who did not know, took one picture at the opening stage! hahaha!

After the performance we were able to take a picture with the actors and actress. Waah! they really did a great job! They performed Dae Jang Geum without script and instead they sang songs and dance! Ah!! SO COOL!

After we watched Dae Jang Geum Musical we moved to a reastaurant for dinner. HAHA! We ate shabu-shabu! Ouh! Jeongmal masitta!! :D

Yummy Yummy~~~~~~  !! See you tomorrow! ^^
